To buy a refurbished laptop you need to look at a few things before deciding which laptop will be the best. The laptop that is refurbished will be similar to buying a new laptop. The laptop has been brought back to like new condition and the hard drive has been wiped clean if not replaced. Some refurbished laptops may have a sight blemish in appearance, but other than that, they work as a new computer would work. Any major defects have been fixed and the computer is installed with the original software and operating software.

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Less money than you need for a new laptop
  1. Step 1

Check USA Notebook for a refurbished laptop. There will be many selections. Choose the make and model you want.

  2. Step 2

Find a refurbished laptop and see what it has for features and an operational system. If the laptop sounds appealing, compare it to a new computer of the same make or close.

  3. Step 3

Compare every feature and software on the refurbished laptop and a new laptop. The laptops should be 90% identical. The only major thing that should be different is the price.

  4. Step 4

Compare the same refurbished laptop to other makes and models. Sometimes you can get a newer laptop with upgraded features and operating systems. Compare the price as well.

  5. Step 5

Check to see what comes with the laptop. Make sure you get a power supply, battery and a manual. Restore disks might be included, but can be obtained from the manufacturer.

  6. Step 6

Upon delivery, check the laptop for any flaws or blemishes. Turn on the unit and make sure the mouse, keyboard and screen work 100%. If there are any problems, contact the company you bought the unit from right away.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be careful to use a reputable company when buying a refurbished laptop. Comparing the prices is very important.
  • Never keep a laptop that does not operate correctly. Check the battery supply to make sure it has a good charge right away.
