You can customize your time options in Windows XP.

In Windows XP, you can set the computer's clock to your current time zone and allow for automatic changes during daylight savings time. You may also choose between a 24-hour or military time clock and a 12-hour clock. While you'd probably expect to find these settings in the "Date and Time" section of the Control Panel, they're actually located elsewhere.
