This is also part of the Cantonese cuisine, and stir-frying retains the natural flavor and coloring of the vegetable, and it makes the dish and the vegetables really tasty and this recipe is great for a side dish or a main entrée. This recipe makes about 4 servings.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2/3 pounds of asparagus
  • 1/4 vegetable oil
  • a clove of sliced garlic
  • salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Wok
  1. Step 1

    The first thing to do is to rinse the asparagus with cold water, and snap off the tough ends and place them in a dish.

  2. Step 2

    The next to do is to slice the asparagus diagonally into 1 inch pieces each.

  3. Step 3

    The next thing to do heat oil in a wok over high heat for 30 seconds at least to a maximum of one minute.

  4. Step 4

    Next step to do is to actually stir-fry the garlic until it turns golden for 30 seconds on medium high heat.

  5. Step 5

    Next add asparagus and a pinch of salt on it on medium heat.

  6. Step 6

    Stir-fry for 3 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender
