Things You'll Need:

  • Internet
  • Decent computer
  1. Step 1

If you are intrested in playine old NES games on you computer. Go to www.coolrom.com at this site you will find rom files for most of your favorite NES games. Certain games like Mario Bros. you will have to find somewhere els.

  2. Step 2

After going to the site open up the emulator window and a list of different systems will come up. Click on Nintendo and then yo will see another list. It is of different types of emulators. I personally use Nestopia and it works quite well.

  3. Step 3

I recommend downloading Nestopia into a folder that you should place on the desktop. Start by downloading a Nintendo Rom file. You should see a tab for it, next to emulator tab.

  4. Step 4

Click download on just a random Nintendo rom file. Antoher window will open wanting to see what you want to extract. Click the game in the window. You should see on the left hand side a link that says MOVE THIS FILE or something like that. Move the game into the folder with the Nestopia program.

  5. Step 5

Now go to the game and mov ethe game over the Nestopia icon which looks like a classic NES. It should then pull up a window that the game should start right up.

  6. Step 6

If you have a controller you will most likely want to use that than the keyboard. I will write an advanced article for everyone that needs more help than this. Message me with any help you need to complete this process.
