Things You'll Need:
- Crochet Hooks: 5/1.90mm & 6/2.25mm
- #10 Cotton or Crystal Poly Crochet Threads
- Blond Curly Doll Hair for Blonde Doll
- Black Very Fine Line Permanent Marker for mouth
- Pink Rouge for cheeks
- Polymer Clay Flowers/ sliced in half for bodice
- Metallic Green Flower Sequin and Purple Bead for Witch's hat
- Prestrung beads for Princess's Headband

Step 1
Head and Body - Body Can Be Color of Your Choice ThoughHEAD (Skin Color - Size 5 Hook):
1. Ch 2, 6 sc in 1st ch made = 6
2. 2 sc in each st around = 12
3. (1 sc, 1 sc-increase) six times around = 18
4 - 5. Sc in each st around = 18 each rd (36 total)
6. (Sc in next 2 st, 1 sc-decrease) four times, sc in next 2 st = 14
7. (1 sc, 1 sc-decrease) five times around - passing end of rd = 9 STUFF!
8. (1 sc-decrease, sc in next 2 st) three times around = 6 Fasten Off, hide tail inside. -
Step 2
NECK, BODY & ARMS (Size 6 Hook);
*Attach new color in last Head st with a sl st or continue with flesh color:
1 - 2. (NECK): Sc in each st around = 6 each rd (12 total)
3. BODY: Ch 9 and sl st in opposite side (st) of neck = Loop Made, TURN
4. Work 14 sc in loop just made. Sl st in st just before beginning of ch-9.
5. ARMS: Ch 12 and sl st in same st you're in below. Work 5 sc over both strands of loop (ARM) and then work 8 sc around the individual strand (loop at end of arm) for the HAND, sl st and Fasten Off. Weave in tail to hide.
*Attach thread to opposite side (across from 1st arm) and Repeat #5 for
2nd arm. -
Step 3
SKIRT (I combined 3 different shades of the same color):
*With all 3 colored threads together; cut EIGHT 10 inch lengths (24 total strands). Then double over 1st group of 3 threads (one each shade)
and attach to body-loop as shown in diagram. Repeat with next 7 groups of 3 threads all around the body-loop. Trim ends as desired. -
Step 4
FACE:
*Either sew on 2 tiny glass beads for eyes or make 2 French Knots instead.
I also used the permanent marker to very carefully add eyelashes and the MOUTH, which can be stitched in, instead.
CHEEKS:
*Use a little Rouge on Q-tip to add the cheeks onto face.
HAIR (Your Color Choice Crystal Crochet Thread):
*Wrap thread around all 4 fingers of your other hand, about 20-30 times. Slip loops off (all together) and lay flat on table. Tie strands together TIGHTLY in CENTER with two short stands of the same thread. Then carefully glue (Fabri-Tac Glue) underside of tied center of hair to the head of your doll.
Arrange hair to cover entire head with less in the front. Then at back side, lift hair and carefully put glue on head and gently press back hair down. You want the bottom hairs only to be glued.
Repeat this process for sides and front - only glue the very top edge of hair at front, so you can trim excess for bangs - otherwise do not glue hair down in front if you just want straight hair.
Trim ends as desired.
*IF USING A THICKER CURLY DOLL HAIR (as seen for Princess), only cut 6-10 strands of hair and repeat above process. -
Step 5
HAT (for Witch):
1. Ch 2, 4 sc in 1st ch made = 4
2. Sc in each st around = 4
3. (1 sc, 1 sc-increase) two times around = 6
4. Sc in each st around = 6
5. 2 sc in each st around = 12
6. Sc in each st around = 12
7. 2 sc in each st around = 24
8. Sc in each st around = 24
9. Ch 2, dc-increase in next 12 st (front of hat), 1 hdc in next 12 st (last st in last st of rd 8), JOIN in top of ch 2. Fasten Off and Weave in tail. *EMBELLISH hat as desired. I used a metallic flower sequin and tiny purple bead. Hook over button and ENJOY!!!
