Step 1
THINK INFORMATION
You have a limited number of characters to work with so don't include anything that is not important to the listing. -
Step 2
THINK LIKE A BUYER
If you were searching for your item, what words would you enter in the search box? Make sure to include those. -
Step 3
INCLUDE NWT
If the item is new and still has tags, include the popular eBay acronym 'NWT' to indicate 'New With Tags'. If it's new, but without tags, include the word 'New' in your title. -
Step 4
INCLUDE NIP
If the item is new and still in original packaging, include the popular eBay acronym 'NIP' to indicate 'New In Packaging'. -
Step 5
INCLUDE BRAND NAMES
If your item has a brand name or is made by a designer, include that information in the title. Buyers will search for this information. -
Step 6
INCLUDE SIZES
If your item has a size at all - clothing, bedding, etc. - be sure to include it in the title. Many eBay buyers will search for specific sizes. -
Step 7
INCLUDE MISSPELLINGS
Is the name of your item or the brand name commonly misspelled? If so, include both the correct name and the misspelling in the title. Again, buyers will search using the misspelling. -
Step 8
AVOID CUTESY TITLES
Don't waste the limited space you have using cutesy names or descriptions. If a buyer wouldn't search for it, don't include it.
