How Do I Make an Amaretto Sour: Cocktail Recipe
Most hard alcohol needs ingredients to cut and sweeten its natural flavors; amaretto liqueur actually needs other flavors to make it less sweet. Amaretto, an Italian almond-flavored liqueur, can be a fair compromise for when you cannot decide between candy and alcohol. A sugary --- almost syrupy --- liqueur, Amaretto finds itself as a key ingredient in many classic and favorite shots, like the Red Snapper or the Alabama Slammer. For times that you want to enjoy Amaretto without having to slam it, the Amaretto Sour combines the tartness of lemon with the sweetness of almonds to create a cocktail worth sipping. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
For a less sweet and more tart drink, cut the amount of simple syrup in half --- or cut it out altogether.
To serve as a martini, just strain it into martini glass.
Mix equal parts sugar and water --- allowing the sugar to dissolve completely --- to make your own simple syrup.
Since Amaretto's sweetness can be very disarming, be smart and drink responsibly --- and designate a sober driver for the evening.
