Decoupage is a fun and easy art for all ages. Simply decorate an object by gluing on cutouts of colored paper. Common objects are small boxes, trays, or furniture.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Colored Tissue Paper
  • Decoupage Glue (matte or gloss)
  • An item to decoupage
  1. Step 1

    Choose an object to decoupage such as a small box.

  2. Step 2

    Crinkle a sheet of tissue paper in your hand.

  3. Step 3

    Tear off small to medium size pieces.

  4. Step 4
    Foam brushes
    Foam brushes

    Dip a foam brush into the glue and wipe off exess.

  5. Step 5

    Apply the glue using the foam brush to your object.

  6. Step 6

    Press the pieces of tissue paper one at a time, in a random pattern.

  7. Step 7

    Smooth with your hands.

  8. Step 8

    Repeat Steps (2-7) until completely covered.

    Wash your hands.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can choose your look either matte or gloss.
  • Choose a one (1) coat glue if possible.
  • Follow any special instructions on your decoupage glue.
