  • 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
  • 1 package classic yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, cut into thin slices

      Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 13-by-the 9-inch pan.

      Dump pineapple with the juice into the pan. Spread evenly.
