Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Thrifty has become the way to be in our ever fluctuating economy. People are constantly looking for ways to save money on their daily household chores, and one of the best ways to begin to save money is to look at how you do laundry. Laundry detergents are so expensive and even more expensive than that are the stain cleaners. However, simple household items can help to keep the stains on your clothing under control without costing you an arm and a leg. Simple stains like underarm stains and blood stains can be killers on you and your budget if you have no idea how to get rid of them. The good news is that instead of throwing out your clothes and running to the next shopping mall you can easily use household items to get rid of the stains.

  2. Step 2

So you sweat. Guess what? We all do! And at some point in our lives we will more than likely have to deal with underarm stains on our shirts especially if you wear white quite often. But how can you get rid of them on a budget? Simple. Grab the hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and rev up the hot water and you have got a great underarm stain remover. Combine the ingredients in a small bottle, preferably one that has a spray or squirt top, in a one to one to one ratio. Keep the hydrogen peroxide from air until you get ready to spray on the stain or you will have a frothy little volcano. Once you have mixed them together, you can then spray or squirt on the clothing. Let it sit for approximately twenty minutes, and wash as you normally would. The clothing will come out of the wash like new.

  3. Step 3

Another stain that can be removed with simple household items and can save your clothing is blood. Many times kids and adults knick themselves in ways they may not even realize, and small bloodstains can make you have to throw a shirt or pair of pants away if you do not know how to get rid of the stain. But you can easily take care of the stain with hydrogen peroxide. Once you see the stain, and make sure that it is before you wash it, you can simply dab straight hydrogen peroxide onto the bloodstain and voila! Then you can wash the clothing item just as you normally would. This is a no brainer solution that even hospitals use to keep their linens and staff clothing looking neat and clean at all times.

Living and doing laundry on a budget does not have to be a big deal. We all have to deal with stains in our lives, and often times instead of dealing with the stain head on we just give up and throw the cloth
