How to Print Borderless Photos on an HP Deskjet D2500 Series Printer
The HP Deskjet D2500 printer provides an inexpensive, easy-to-operate solution for most home-printing needs. Not only is it capable of printing a variety of documents, including posters, labels, envelopes, email, transparencies and even iron-on transfers, but it also does a great job of printing quality photographs on a variety of photo-quality papers. One of the great features the Deskjet D2500 boasts is the ability to print borderless photos at up to 4”x6”.

Open the HP Photosmart software that came with the Deskjet D2500 printer. Locate the photo you wish to print and select it for editing. Resize the photo to the size you wish to print.

Grasp the paper guide and slide it as far as it will go to the left. Place up to 30 sheets of approved photo paper, print-side down, into the paper tray. Make sure the photo paper is flat, with no curled edges. Make sure the paper is flush against the right side and is portrait-oriented.

Push the photo paper forward into the printer until it stops. Do not force the paper, or it may curl or tear, resulting in a paper jam. Grasp the paper guide and slide it to the right until it is flush with the edge of the photo paper.

Locate and open the "Printer Properties" dialog box on the HP Photosmart software program. Move your cursor over the "Printing Shortcuts" tab and left-click your mouse. Mover your cursor over the "Photo Printing--Borderless" link and left-click your mouse. Determine which options meet your needs and select the appropriate print quality, paper type, paper size and orientation. Left-click the "OK" box to begin printing.

Tips & Warnings
You cannot print borderless photos while the printer is in ink-backup mode. You must have two print cartridges installed.
These instructions are specific to the HP Deskjet 2530 printer using HP Photosmart photo-editing software. Other models may vary slightly. Check your owner’s manual for details.
For best results, HP recommends using HP Advanced Photo Paper or HP Premium Plus High-gloss Photo Paper.
