A Halloween wreath is every bit as fun and festive as the traditional one at Christmas time. Its colors can be rich and refreshing, and the smell of a scented wreath can instantly invoke memories of trick or treating and baking with parents on an autumn day. You can spend as little or as much money as you want on a wreath, and you can get a beautiful return either way. The only limit here is your imagination.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Styrofoam wreath base
  • Halloween fabric
  • Super glue
  • Stapler and staples
  • Pumpkin-scented spray
  • Orange garland
  • Figurines (Halloween themed)
  1. Step 1

Establish your work place for the wreath making process. It won't come out wonderfully if you don't take the time and effort to give it the attention it is going to need. It's a fun project, but it's going to take a bit of prep work.

  2. Step 2

Place the styrofoam base on the table.

  3. Step 3

Cover the styrofoam base with Halloween printed fabric. This should be what makes you happiest. If it's ghosts, have a ghost base. If it's the bright color of pumpkin orange, opt for that. Anything goes as long as it is festive, Halloween themed and fun. Wrap the fabric carefully and tightly around the base.

  4. Step 4

Staple or super glue the fabric to the wreath after it has been carefully woven and now encircles it.

  5. Step 5

Wrap orange garland around your wreath. You could opt for a combination of orange and black garland, but orange works well by itself. Wrap it tightly into place. Glue at the ends to keep it in place.

  6. Step 6

Add witch, ghost or pumpkin figurines to the wreath for a fun touch. This should match your personal tastes and room decor for the season. A combination works well of all things Halloween.

Tips & Warnings
  • Try to make several wreaths at a time if you plan on going to many Halloween parties. These homemade treasures make a fantastic hostess present for the season, especially if you are going to be the first to arrive at a party. She can use it the rest of the evening to wow other visitors.
  • Don't worry too much about what others will think of your wreath. Customize it to what Halloween means to your family. If that means pumpkin pie and a prayer, include that as part of your wreath.
