How to Post a Job On Craigslist

Whether your the hiring manager at a large corporation or the owner of a small business looking to add another employee, Craigslist can be a great tool in order to alert people of your opening and find the best candidates. In fact by utilizing Craigslist you can post your job opening in regions all across the world without the expense of newspaper or other classifieds.

Instructions

1. Go online (see Resources) and select the region you want to post the job in. If its a state, choose the state then choose the smaller region nearest to you.

2. Click "Post to classifieds" on the upper right hand side. Then click "Job offered" on the following page. Review the posting guidelines then click on to agree to the guidelines. On the following page choose the category that best fits your job opening.

3. Complete all of the entry fields including job title, location, compensation, details of the position and your valid email address. In order to attract the most interest and qualified candidates it is important to provide specific details about the position. When you've finished entering the details of your position, press "Continue" and review your listing on the next page.

4. Review the terms and conditions and if you approve, click "Accept" to continue. On the next page, enter the encryption code then again press continue. You will now receive an email, so open the email and click the link to confirm and finalize your ad.

Tips & Warnings

• Your ad will be valid for 45 days once you post it.

• You can edit your ad at any time by following the links in the email you received to confirm your ad.
