How to Use Midyork.org
Midyork.org is an online extension of the library system in central New York. Serving forty-three libraries within the counties of Oneida, Herkimer and Madison Midyork serves a population of over three hundred thousand. Their online system is set up with many beneficial features. As with any website that you are not familiar with, it takes time to become familiar with the system. This one is well worth the discovery. To help you navigate through it, here is a guide to the Midyork website.

Click on “Digital Service” for a historical treat. Newly added, the service allows users to view past photographs of Earl Dunham (founder of the Dunham library in Whitesboro). The service also allows users to read the manuscript collections of Gerrit Smith. In addition, users have access to the “Adirondack trail guide”.

Click on “Catalog” to search the Midyork system for a certain book. You of course need to log in with your library card. Once logged in, you can search by word or phrase, author, title or subject. You can search through a specific library or order a copy from another library if it isn’t available in your library. MidYork.org makes it easy to use the library and the Midyork system.
