How to Read a Five Rune Spread
The history and use of Runes is long and spans various cultures. Runes were originally fashioned from the sun-bleached bones of animals, small stones or pieces of carved wood. Today, Runes can be purchased from book stores, cultural stores and alternate religion stores. Numerous books have been written; some combine traditional meanings with new age meanings. The five Rune spread is referred to as a Simple Cross; the rune placement resembles an equilateral cross. Learning to give a five Rune reading can be a fun, spiritual time to contact the Oracle. Runes do not tell fortunes, rather, Runes are used as a guide to understanding the path one walks and the direction one is headed.
