The Joker is a character from the Batman comic book and movie series. With his evil doings and frightening appearance, he is the perfect villain. While Batman strives for a better world, the Joker proceeds to invoke chaos at every turn. Heath Ledger's riveting performance as the Joker brought this character to a whole other realm in the imaginations of many people. Here is how you can be the Joker and spook lots of souls as you go about your Halloween.

From Quick Guide: Kids' Halloween Costumes
Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Grab a conservative blue shirt. The Joker does dress somewhat professionally before the craziness disrupts his fashion sense. Pick a nice and proper blue shirt.

  2. Step 2

Choose a matching tie. It should also be blue and similar of pattern. You can also opt for a green tie to match the vest you will put on later. The tie should be an ugly sort of pea green. Button up the shirt completely and make sure the tie is tied tightly at the collar.

  3. Step 3

Put on a green vest above the shirt and tie. It should be an ugly sort of pea green. It doesn't match the blue, and it doesn't have to. The Joker marches to the beat of his own tune in every way.

  4. Step 4

Put on a simple pair of black pants. The pants need to be easy to move in for motorcycle chases and bank dilemmas.

  5. Step 5

Grab a pair of socks that are multi-colored. Choose colors that match your costume if possible.

  6. Step 6

Put on a pair of simple, tie-up dress shoes.

  7. Step 7

Sit down in a well lit area and gather your make up and face paints. You should do this last so that you don't mess up your clothes. Place a towel or cover over your costume in case of messes or spills.

  8. Step 8

Apply face paint. White paint should be placed all over your face. Let it sit and dry. Proceed to apply red lipstick and special effect makeup to create starts going up both sides of your lips. Apply dark makeup all around the eye area in a complete circle of darkness.
