How to Embellish a Picture Frame Matte Using Pressed Daisies

Using pressed flowers to decorate a picture-frame mat is a great way to add a personal touch. This project makes a great gift idea for Mother's Day or Valentine's Day, and even adds a nice embellishment to a wedding photo.

Things You'll Need

• Picture frame with mat
• Pressed daisies
• Liquid glue
• Self-adhesive laminate

Instructions

1. Take the mat out of the picture frame.

2. Lay the mat on something that will protect your table, like newspaper or an old tablecloth.

3. Arrange the pressed daisies on the picture-frame mat until you like how they look. Hold the frame over the mat to make sure the flowers are placed so that they can be seen once the frame is back together.

4. Glue the daisies in place on the mat.

5. Apply the self-adhesive laminate over the mat to help preserve the flowers. Allow to dry completely.

6. Place the mat over the picture you are framing and put the frame back together.
