Dine at Bogota Bistro on 5th Avenue in Brooklyn. This Park Slope neighborhood restaurant is a colorful and cheery restaurant that has many delectable Colombian delights. The portions here are extremely filling, serving up plates like skirt steak, fried plantains, and guava sweet empanadas. With a fun staff, atmosphere, and menu, there is nothing to dislike about Bogota Bistro.

  2. Step 2

Eat at Colombia Chicken Restaurant on 63rd Drive in Rego Park. This Colombian restaurant has a rich and flavorful authentic Colombian menu, based around poultry. A lot of the chicken tastes like barbecue, which goes wonderfully with the rice and beans. This is a great, unpretentious, and relaxed way to enjoy Colombian food in New York City.

  3. Step 3

Try out La Nueva Cafe de Colombia on 28th Avenue in Long Island City. This Queens establishment is a Colombian restaurant/bakery, so, not only can you enjoy a hearty Colombian meal here, you can relax with a cup of traditional Colombian coffee and Colombian cheese bread. This cafe also serves up fantastic Colombian breakfasts. The prices are also excellent here, so be sure to stop by.

  4. Step 4

Visit Tierras Colombianas on Broadway in Long Island City. The portions at this Queens Colombian restaurant are massive. The main dishes usually come with about three to four side dishes. This is definitely a place to dine at when you're starving - you'll walk out stuffed! The service is excellent here, and the restaurant is bright and cheerful. The chicken, platanos (fried plantains), and pork chops here are particularly amazing.

  5. Step 5

Check out El Comelon Restaurant on Greenpoint Avenue in Sunnyside. Another Queens based restaurant, El Comelon is a pleasant and moderately priced way to enjoy traditional and homey Colombian cuisine. With all the traditional favorites like rotisserie chicken, pork, rice, and beans, El Comelon is a great value for your money. This is a must-visit for Colombian food lovers in the rea.
