Step 1
Find a company that will make you an offer for your junk car and arrange to pick it up themselves. There is a great company called Buy My Wreck. The link for this site is provided for you at the end of this article. They recommend that you fill out the form online and submit it, but you can contact them at this address: P.O. Box 309, Seymour, CT 06483. You can also call them at 1-877-270-7704.

Step 2
Have your vehicle information ready for the assistant that calls you. Once you give the assistant all of the information about your car they will be able to make you an offer. You have the right to accept the offer or deny the offer. If you deny the offer you will have to look for another company. This is not recommended because you might not be able to get rid of your car any other way. Remember that your car is junk and you are lucky to get any amount of cash for it. If you choose to accept the offer the assistant will arrange for a tow truck to come and pick up your car right at your Maryland home. You can opt to drive your car to the nearest facility which will save the company towing money. They will add that price onto the offer.
-
Step 3
Have your keys and car paperwork ready when the tow truck driver shows up. Hand him all of the information and sign the offer papers. Make sure there are no liens on the vehicle or that you have a lien release form filled out. The tow truck driver should come to your house within 2 days of you accepting the cash offer made to you on your car.
-
Step 4
Make sure the company has your payment information. They will either pay you by check or by Paypal. Give them your complete address or Paypal email address. Payments are made 10-14 days after the car has been towed. That is to make sure all of your paperwork has cleared and that there are no other liens or claims on the car.
-
Step 5
Check the status of your case on the Web site. They have a section right at the top called "check status". You can always see which stage your car is on by clicking on the link. That keeps you informed and up to date as to what is happening with your vehicle and when your payment is issued.
