How to Nail Every Word in Text Twist

Text Twist is a computer game in which players attempt to identify every word from a list of six letters in a span of two-and-a-half minutes. Super Text Twist features seven-letter puzzles. Taking a methodical approach is critical to success.

Instructions

    • 1
Quick! See if you can get them all.

Remember that points are scored for each word, but that you can't continue unless you think of the six-letter word or, in the case of Super Text Twist, the seven-letter word. Try to think of the full word immediately. After 20 seconds elapse, start listing the smaller ones as quickly as possible.

    • 2

Start with the first letter. Name all the three-letter words that begin with that letter. Then list all the four-letter words that begin with that letter and continue until you've exhausted all the possibilities. Move another letter to the front and repeat. Do the same with all the letters.

    • 3

Search for blends. They will invariably start many of the words.

    • 4

Place an "s" or "ed" at the end if they appear in the list of letters. You will likely find many plural or past-tense words.

    • 5

Remember that one wins in Text Twist only if he nails the six-letter word or, in the case of Super Text Twist, the seven-letter word. If you haven't identified it with 30 to 45 seconds remaining, forget the shorter words. Scramble the letters until you find the six-letter word.

Tips & Warnings

  • Don't spend too much time on trying to find words that begin with vowels. There generally aren't many. But not that the six-letter or seven-letter words that begin with a vowel are the most difficult to identify.
