Bare Minerals makeup is 100% pure minerals, free of any additives or preservatives. This puts Bare Minerals at the forefront of the mineral makeup world, which is growing rapidly. Using Bare Minerals is great for those with sensitive skin or those who wish to use natural and pure ingredients on their face. It provides great coverage and leaves skin looking flawless yet natural at the same time. It doesn't take long to get the technique down and the more you practice the better.

From Quick Guide: Bare Minerals Makeup
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bare Vitamins Skin Rev-Er Upper
  • Bare Vitamins Foundation Primer
  • Bare Minerals Foundation
  • Bare Minerals Warmth
  • Bare Minerals Mineral Veil
  • Max coverage concealer brush
  • Flawless face brush
  • Buki brush
  1. Step 1

Make sure your face is clean and dry. Apply the Skin Rev-Er Upper serum followed by your face moisturizer. The serum contains vitamins that are good for your skin and help ensure a nice smooth surface for makeup application.

  2. Step 2

Apply Prime Time Foundation Primer if desired. This makeup primer smooths out the skin, filling in any pores or wrinkles so that the makeup doesn't settle into any lines on the face.

  3. Step 3

Tap some of your Bare Minerals Foundation into the lid. Take your Max Coverage Concealer Brush and dip into the minerals in the lid, covering both sides of the brush. Tap the brush on the edge of the lid to remove any excess minerals. Take the concealer brush to your face and lightly stroke under eyes, around the nose and over any other imperfections you wish to conceal.

  4. Step 4

Take the Flawless face brush and dip into the lid with foundation. Swirl the brush into the minerals and then tap on the edge to remove excess. Apply to face covering all areas evenly. You can also use the Bare Minerals Buki brush, which provides extra coverage.

  5. Step 5

Use the Flawless face brush for the Bare Minerals Warmth. Dip the brush into the lid where you have tapped a small amount of Warmth. Tap off the excess and then apply to the face across the forehead, nose and cheekbones, where the sun would naturally tan your face. Warmth is a bronzer and should be used sparingly, you can always add more if you want.

  6. Step 6

Apply Bare Minerals Mineral Veil by again tapping into the lid and use the Flawless Face brush. Sweep this all over the face, really buffing into the skin. This will really seal your makeup and bring the look together, creating an "airbrushed effect" that hides imperfections and enhances skin tone.

  7. Step 7

Finish the look with any other Bare Minerals makeup you like. Choose from blush, eyeshadows, eyeliner, lipglosses, and much more.

Tips & Warnings
  • Usually the Bare Minerals starter kit comes with an instructional DVD, so make sure to watch and follow the steps.
