How to Draw Timmy Turner

Timmy Turner from Fairly Odd Parents is one of Nickelodeon's most popular characters. It's a lot of fun to learn to draw him. Timmy Turner can be easily created using a few basic cartooning principles and drawing materials. It's a good idea to get some high quality drawing paper, colored pencils and a fine tip black permanent marker before starting your drawing. Instructions

    • 1

Draw a diagonal line in graphite pencil, then draw two curved lines beside it. Draw two elliptical shapes for the eyes. Use the center guideline to place them properly. Draw a triangular shape for the body. Make your lines lightly enough that you will be able to erase them later.

    • 2

Draw in Timmy Turner's eyeballs, nose, hair, arms and legs. Keep an eye on your guideline and make sure that all features are in proper proportion.

    • 3

Draw the eyebrows, ears, mouth, hands, feet, and the top of his cap.

    • 4

Draw Timmy Turner's teeth, tongue, the edge of his mouth, the brim of his cap, his shirt and the curved shape inside his ear. The very leftmost edge of the teeth should be in contact with the guideline in the center of Timmy Turner's face.

    • 5

Go over the outermost outlines with a fine tip black permanent marker. Take care not to reproduce any line which is not supposed to be part of the finished picture. For example, omit the guideline in the center of the face and the lines within the eyebrows and shirt sleeves. Wait for the ink to dry before continuing.

    • 6

Erase the pencil lines carefully from your drawing. Color in your Timmy Turner drawing using colored pencils. Use a flesh colored pencil for his skin. Use red or magenta for the shirt, the inside of the mouth and the cap. Use black pencil or permanent marker for the pants and shoes. Use pink for the tongue, Tuscan red or medium brown for the eyebrows, dark brown for the hair and medium or sky blue for the eyes.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep a picture of Timmy Turner by your workspace and refer to it while drawing.

  • Use a composite line rather than trying to draw the entire line from beginning to end without lifting your pencil.

  • Use cross-hatching and light to moderate pressure to get a smooth texture with your colored pencil.

  • Unlike Cosmo and Wanda, Timmy Turner has no pupils.

  • Colored markers tend to create a mottled effect, so it's best to avoid them.
