This craft will turn ordinary candle in to a decorated festive Halloween candle. These candle wraps make good centerpieces or accent points throughout your house. You can also make them as gifts and hand them out at a Halloween party. They are very inexpensive to make and take very little time. They are also not messy so they can be done while you sit comfortably on your living room sofa.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Orange or black candles
  • Memory wire
  • Scissors that cut wire
  • Pliers
  • Halloween beads
  • Pumpkin beads
  1. Step 1

Take a look at the size of the candle. This will tell you about how much wire you will need. If you prefer not to guess, take the wire and wrap it around the candle going in a diagonal upward motion. This would be just like how you place garland on a Christmas tree. Cut the wire when you get to the top.

  2. Step 2

Buy some beads at the local craft store or at any Michaels or A.C. Moore store. Make sure the beads are Halloween colors or Halloween symbols. Then buy a box of pumpkin beads. The pumpkin beads are going to be the staple or the constant.

  3. Step 3

Take the beginning end of the wire and loop it. A small loop is all you need. This will keep the beads from falling off. You may need to use pliers to bend the loop.

  4. Step 4

Start stringing the beads. Place a pumpkin bead every 4 or 5 beads. It doesn't matter what beads you place in between the pumpkins and they don't have to be in any sort of pattern. When you get to the end, make another loop with the pliers so that the beads don't come out that end either.

  5. Step 5

Wrap the beads around the candle, using your pliers if needed. This is memory wire so it should stay the way you put it. Make sure that the beginning and ending loop are in the back of the candle and not the front so that no one will see them. This way your design will appear flawless.

  6. Step 6

Repeat for as many candle wraps as you need.

Tips & Warnings
  • You could make a ghost candle wrap or a bat candle wrap. See what beads are available to you at your local craft store. Just replace the pumpkins with the bats or the ghosts.
  • Be careful with the pliers and the end of the wire. It is sharp.
