How to Make a Glitter Glue Ghost Necklace
Glitter glue ghost necklaces are a great Halloween craft, and can be done in your home, or as a class project. With a few simple materials, and a couple minutes of your time, you can have a fun and decorative necklace to wear for Halloween.
Things You'll Need
- White craft glue
- Paper clip or a small bent wire
- Wax paper
- Plastic string from the craft store
- Wiggly craft eyes
- Glitter
- Old newspaper or plastic
Instructions
-
-
1
Lay some old newspaper or plastic over your work surface so that you do not damage it with the glue.
-
2
Spread a sheet of wax paper down on your work surface.
-
-
3
Squeeze some white craft glue such as Elmer's glue onto the wax paper, and use the tip of the glue bottle to arrange it in the shape of a ghost. Don't make the glue too thick or it won't dry. But, it needs to be thick enough so that there are no holes in the ghost shape.
-
4
Unbend a paper clip and form it into the shape of a "V," or bend another short piece of wire that you have into a "V" shape. Lay the "V" shaped wire into the glue so that the edges are in the glue, and the rounded part is out of it. This will form the loop for the string of the necklace to go through later.
-
5
Sprinkle some glitter into the glue while it is still wet. You can use any color of glitter that you like, but orange or black would be best for Halloween.
-
6
Place two or more wiggly craft eyes into the glue while it is still wet.
-
7
Allow the glue to dry and then gently peel the ghost off of the wax paper. It should now be a firm ghost shape with the eyes and glitter embedded into it,.
-
8
Thread a piece of black or orange plastic craft string from any craft store through the loop in the wire. Make it long enough to fit around your head so that it can be slipped on easily.

Tips & Warnings
Let the glue dry completely before you try to peel the ghost shape from the wax paper.
Use caution when using glitter. If it gets into your eye it can cause small cuts to occur.
