The Bloody Mary cocktail is not for everyone, but if you like them then this is a classic recipe that's sure to have your taste buds screaming. The first Bloody Mary cocktail was made in the late 1920's, and was simply tomato juice and vodka. It eventually progressed into the great brunch cocktail that we know today.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 1/2oz. vodka
  • 5oz. tomato juice
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp of black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp of celery salt
  • 3 dashes of Worstershire
  • 1 dash of Tabasco
  • Old Fashioned glass
  • ice
  • straw
  • celery stalk
  • shaker
  1. Step 1

    Fill the shaker with ice.

  2. Step 2

    Add all ingredients, and shake for a few seconds.

  3. Step 3

    Strain into a glass filled with ice cubes.

  4. Step 4

    Garnish with celery stick, and serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • More vodka can be added, according to taste.
  • The Bloody Mary cocktail is best made with top shelf liquors.
