Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
-
Star Office 8
-
Efax account
Step1
Visit the Star Office 8 extension page. (see the link in Resources). You'll immediately be presented with various extensions to add. Look for the Efax extension on this page and click the “Download for Free” button next to it.
Step2
Click the “Save File” button and then select “OK.” Make sure the file is being saved to a location that will be easy for you to find later. Double-click the saved file when you are ready to begin the installation process. After a few seconds, the Efax extension will be accessible in Star Office 8.
Step3
Open the Star Office 8 program to launch the faxing function. When working with any of the included programs, you'll notice that there is a fax button listed within the menu options. After completing work in a document, simply click the fax button to send a fax within Star Office 8. A pop-up window will prompt you to enter the fax number to which you need to send the item, the name of the person or company and your desired fax quality. As a bonus feature, you can also include a cover page. When you click on the fax button for the first time, you'll need to input your Efax number and pin.
Step4
Click the “Send Fax” button. You won't have to close the application you're working in and then send it as an attachment. Save some time by having the fax feature fully incorporated into your Star Office 8 applications. If by chance you have more than one Efax number, you can change it easily by clicking the "Change" button in the Efax account-settings area. It will allow you to add a brand new Efax number and pin when necessary.
