How to Edit & Animate Pictures for MySpace

If you are a part of the ever-growing MySpace community and want to improve your layout or profile page, you can do so by animating your pictures. Animating pictures makes your MySpace page more interesting and more fun. You can animate your profile picture and your photo-album pictures. Share your animated photos with your MySpace friends, even in the form of greeting cards. Watch the good reviews and remarks pour in.

Things You'll Need

• Digital pictures or photos scanned for digital editing
• MySpace account

Instructions

1. 

   Navigate to Lunapic (follow the link in Resources), a free site that allows you to edit your photos using a variety of tools.

2. 

   Upload your photos. You can choose from digital photos saved on a CD, hard drive, USB flash drive or even a DVD. You can also upload a URL. Click on the "Browse" button, choose the picture to animate from the resources mentioned, then click on the button that says "Upload Now."

3. 

   Click on "Add Animation" (located on top of the picture you just uploaded). This will take you to another page with a number of options for animation, from "Old Movie Effect" to "Groovy Rainbow Animation" to "Hearts Effect" or "Sparkles Effect." Many of the choices will allow you to preview how your photo would look under the specific effect.

   Click on the animation effect. For this example, we will choose the "Groovy Rainbow Effect." Clicking on the effect will change the appearance of your picture, rendering tit in the style you chose.

5. 

   Click on "Download & Save" (located below your photo), then save the GIF file in your Pictures folder.

6. 

   Go to your MySpace site. Click on "Profile," then choose "My Photos." Click on "Upload Photos."

7. 

   Click on the photo you saved as a GIF or animation. Click on the upper left box of the photo chosen, then click on the button that says "Upload."

8. 

   Upload the animated photo to one of your existing MySpace albums or one you have newly created.

9. 

   Edit or add a caption for your newly added animated picture.

10. 

    Click on "Done Editing." Now you can enjoy your newly uploaded animated picture. Share it with your MySpace friends and family.

Tips & Warnings

• You can animate different pictures with different animation effects, then save them in one album you've dedicated purely to animated pictures.

• Avoid animating copyrighted pictures, which risks legal consequences.
