Things You'll Need
- 1 cup of distilled water
- 3 rounded tbsp. flaxseed
- Three or four drops of scented oil (your choice of scent)
- A fine sieve or a fine mesh strainer
- A wide-mouthed storage container with a lid

Place the flaxseed and the water together in a small saucepan.

Bring the water to a rapid boil, and then quickly remove from heat.

Allow the saucepan to sit, undisturbed for at least 30 minutes. It will thicken into a gel.

Strain through fine mesh into the container, and allow it to cool uncovered.

Stir in the scented oil when the gel has cooled completely. Cover your scented hair gel with a lid until it is ready to be used.
