1
Contact your local park association to get listings of sports that can be played in the area. Frisbee Golf courses are usually listed either under "sport fields" or grouped under "family activities," depending on whether the courses are professional or amateur.
-
2
Find a local office of the Disc Golf Association (DGA), the amateur organization for players of Frisbee Golf. Joining the organization will allow you to get in touch with other players, get updated listings of local tournaments and new courses opening up and basically access all needed information to make the most of the sport (see Resources below).
-
-
3
Visit the website of the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA), where you can search a directory of over 2,500 Frisbee Golf courses in the United States. The database is arranged by city, zip code or state, or you can simply click on a map for a listing of everything available in that area (see Resources below).
-
4
Use the Disc Golf Directory website for listings of international courses, including many in Europe, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and even Guam. Many of the listings featured are just a name rather than a detailed entry, so you will need to search for addresses on your own. Still, this is the most comprehensive list of worldwide Frisbee Golf courses and a great resource if you want to play abroad (see Resources below).
-
5
Join the DG Course Review forum and website, where you can read reviews of courses, interact with other members and ask questions regarding places to play in your area. Besides being able to browse by state or through a map, you are also allowed to search courses by name and to get information regarding courses included in a certain tournament, such as the Green Mountain Open and the West Virginia Open, both held in August (see Resources below).

Tips & Warnings
Many local parks offer small versions of Frisbee Golf courses. While the professional courses consist of either 9 or 18 holes (or baskets), mini-courses, which are mostly designed for amateur players, can have as little as 5 baskets.
