How to Allow Pop-ups on A Specific Website

"Pop-up Blocker" can stop most pop-ups from appearing on your computer. This can pose a problem for users who want to block pop-ups on some websites, but allow them on others. There is a way to specify when you want to allow pop-ups on a particular website. Follow these instructions to see how.

Instructions

1. Click once on the “Start” menu button located on the taskbar.

2. Find the Control Panel and click on it. The Control Panel window will appear.

3. Click twice on “Internet Options” to see the Internet Properties window. You will see seven tabs. View the Privacy tab; it contains two sections. Look under the Pop-up Blocker section. Make sure the the “Turn on Pop-up Blocker” box is checked. If it is not checked, click inside the small square to check it and click “Apply” at the bottom of the Internet Properties window.

4. Click the “Settings” button under the Pop-up Blocker section. The Pop-up Blocker Settings window will appear. Look in the Exceptions section for a text box with the words “Address of website to allow” above it. Type the website address for which you want to allow pop-ups.

5. Click the “Add” button to the right of the text box. The address will appear in the box with the words “Allowed sites” above it.

6. Close all windows.
