Everyone has their own set routine of preparing for a date. Some people spends days getting ready while others wait until the day of the date. No matter how you go about it, there are a few ways to prepare yourself for a big date.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Clothes
  • Perfume/cologne
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrush
  1. Step 1

Pick out your clothes ahead of time so they'll be ready to go on the day of the date. If you're wearing anything new, try it on first to make sure it fits. You don't want to get dressed just before your date and find out that your cute new skirt doesn't fit.

  2. Step 2

Take a shower as close to the time you leave as possible. You want to smell nice and not like you've been working in the yard all day.

  3. Step 3

Spend some time getting ready for the date. Get a haircut, break in those new shoes, try out any new products you bought, etc. Apply a spritz of your favorite perfume/cologne and make sure to brush your teeth before you head out the door.

  4. Step 4

Run through any topics that the two of you may have talked about beforehand and try to remember any of his/her interests. If the conversation stalls, you always have those topics to fall back on.

  5. Step 5

Practice positive thinking. It puts you in a better mood and gets you ready for a good date. If you're constantly worrying about what might go wrong, you'll find yourself in a bad mood.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't go overboard if it's a first date. You may spend hours getting ready only to find the date end after a 30 minute lunch.
  • Try out any new products before using them to prepare for a date. You never know when you might have an allergic reaction to that new facial scrub.
