Things You'll Need:
- Phone
- Passport
- Passenger manifest
- Manifest of luggage and weight
- Visa, if necessary
-
Step 1
Decide which airport you want to use. There are 5 airports that support jet traffic in Singapore: Changi, the international airport, which is available for any and all jet aircraft regardless of size. It offers the longest runway and instrument approaches for getting in during the worst weather.Paya Lebar, a slightly smaller airport that offers almost as wide a variety of aircraft as Changi as well as numerous instrument approaches.Seletar, slightly smaller and more limited to jet traffic but has instrument approaches.Sembawang, the smallest airport, offers primarily Lear jets and no instrument approaches, so getting in during inclement of weather is not an optionTengah, a larger airport that has primarily Learjets and no instrument approaches. These are the options for airports in Singapore.

Step 2
Decide where your destination is going to be. If it is place you will need a visa, it will be your responsibility to secure one. There may be other things you will need to consider, such as taxes and fees to enter into the country, which is common in many Asian countries. These range from a few dollars to a few hundred, depending on how many are in your party. Other considerations are travel bans and the political stability of your destinations.
-
Step 3
Create a list of charter outfits in Singapore at the airport you wish to fly out of. Each will have different prices. They will range from $1680 per hour, including crew and fuel with no catering to $2500 an hour and up, with crew, catering and fuel. Take into consideration the instrument approach capability as the departure airport, if they don't have this, it will not be an option in poor weather. Also consider the type of aircraft available. At smaller Singaporean airports, Lear jets are the primary plane for their capability to operate on short runways. They are limited, however, in the number of people and baggage they can carry. Changi will have the best options for size of aircraft. Get rates, fees, and crew charges if you have to put the crew up for the time you are out, catering and airport operating fees. The crews are usually set up in hotels near the airport where prices range from $175 a night to $400 an night and they must have separate rooms. Compare all of these with different companies in Singapore.
-
Step 4
Select your company. Meet the crew, usually a 2 pilot/1 flight attendant set up. Have your travel documents ready, a manifest of baggage, which is the in-depth list of what and how much the luggage weighs and your passenger list. Have a catering list ready for the company a few days prior. Catering typically ranges from $200 for basic snacks and water to well into the thousands for champagne and caviar. Keep an eye on the weather in the event there will be delays. On the day of departure, show up at least 2 hours prior to have all of your luggage weighed and stowed. Recheck all of your travel documents and then hop aboard to enjoy your jet rental in Singapore.

on 10/28/2009 I stay in Singapore. I have to tell you that your article is utter rubbish. 5 airports? You got to be kidding me. It is 4 military airbases and 1 airport. Get your basic facts right, pilot. There is always Wikipedia.

on 8/13/2008 Interesting Article! But here in Singapore the Bizness charter has not caught on, needs more time. This was also stated in the newpaper recently.
