How to Connect a PC TV Tuner to a Satellite Box
Connecting your personal computer to your satellite box is a easy way to combine the resources of your PC with the convenience of satellite TV. You can save your favorite shows to the computer's hard drive. You can play home movies or create a slide show of your favorite pictures. You can also use your television to play computer games, online or off. Connecting the PC TV tuner to the satellite box requires a few minutes, some hardware and a few easy steps.
Things You'll Need
- Analog TV tuner card
- RF coaxial cable adapter Connector
- S-Video cable or composite audio/video cable or coaxial cable
- Personal or laptop computer
- Satellite set-up box
- Television

Insert a TV tuner card into the video card slot on the computer, about halfway.

Screw or snap the video source coaxial cable to the outlet marked “Input” on the back of the satellite set-up box.

Connect the coaxial cable connector from the outlet marked “Output” on the back of the satellite set-up box to the input on the TV tuner card connector.

Push the input connector onto the TV tuner card until it clicks into place.

Screw or snap the appropriate audio/video cable (S-Video, composite audio/video cable or coaxial cable) from the set-up box to the input on the TV.
