If you're having a fall wedding, no doubt you want the flowers to look beautiful. However, not all the flowers that are in season in the spring are in season during the fall. So, you may find yourself in a dilemma trying to pick out the right flowers that fit with the tone and ambiance of your special day.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Take a bridesmaid with you to help. Picking out the right wedding flowers for a fall wedding is not the easiest, but having someone else with you to give a second opinion can definitely help.

  2. Step 2

Consider the natural fall colors. Think oranges, yellows and deep reds for your wedding. These colors are brilliant and beautiful and are rarely used in weddings that occur in other seasons, so take advantage of them if you're going to have a fall wedding.

  3. Step 3

Take your wedding theme into account. Of course the fall colors are not the only consideration to remember when choosing flowers. Remember your theme and the colors of your wedding as well. Take a swatch of material from the bridesmaids' dresses, as well as your wedding dress, so you can find the perfect flowers to match.

  4. Step 4

Find out which flowers are in season. Different flowers are in season during the fall. Some flowers you may have thought about may not be in season, which means they're going to really cost you. Just a few of the flowers that are in season during the fall include marigolds, zinnias, dahlias, chrysanthemum and asters.

  5. Step 5

Remember that flowers aren't the only option for bouquets and arrangements. During the fall dried leaves are wonderful additions to flower arrangements and bouquets. Corn husks are interesting additions as well to your fall wedding flowers.

  6. Step 6

Consider dried and silk flowers. You don't have to go with fresh flowers for the wedding. In fact, for a fall wedding, you'll find that dried flowers look absolutely beautiful.

  7. Step 7

Ask the florist for ideas. If you are at the end of your rope and you still have no idea how to decide on your wedding flowers for a fall wedding, consider talking to a good florist. No doubt they have dealt with fall weddings before and can help you choose the perfect wedding flowers for your wedding.
