Instructions

    • 1

Grasp both ends of the sash, one in each hand. Place the sash over the back of the chair, in the position you desire, and stand behind the chair holding each end of the sash fabric.

    • 2

Cross the ends of the sash over each other and loop one end behind the other like you are tying a bow. Draw the sash tight against the back of the chair.

    • 3

Begin twisting one end of the sash over the other, creating a single long cord from the two ends of the sash. Twist the sash ends until you have only 2 to 4 inches of sash left on both ends. These ends will serve as your rose's leaves.

    • 4

Take the twisted sash cord and begin to wind it around the knot at the back fo the chair. Wind it around and around as many times as it will go, until you have reached its end.

    • 5

Lastly, take the end of the cord with its two lengths of 2 to 4 inches and tuck it through the knot, holding in place the rose, and leaving the two ends to hang from the rose as two leaves.
