Blackheads and acne do not only appear on the face but also on larger areas of the body such as the chest, neck, shoulders and back. There are a few ways to help you get rid of acne on the back area.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Body wash with 2 percent salicylic acid
  • Abrasive sponge or loofah
  • Moisturizer with an oil-free, medicated lotion
  • Acne medication cream
  1. Step 1

Wash your whole body with 2 percent salicylic acid body wash, concentrating on the areas with acne. Wait a minute or so before rinsing to get rid of all the oil and to let the medicine sink in and do its work.

  2. Step 2

Exfoliate by using an abrasive sponge or a loofah, but do not scrub too hard, or it will increase irritation, which can lead to more acne on the back area.

  3. Step 3

Leave the shower and dry off completely. Moisturize with an oil-free, medicated lotion.

  4. Step 4

Spot-treat with acne medication cream. Since the body wash has salicylic acid within it, use something with a different medicine spot treatment, such as 2.5 percent benzoyl peroxide. Do not use a 5 percent or 10 percent benzoyl peroxide, because this will increase irritation without increasing the rate at which the pimples diminish.

  5. Step 5

Drink eight glasses of water every day. Hydrating properly ensures that your body will not need to release as much oil and bacteria in the form of acne. Also, eating orange-colored foods also helps reduce the acne all over the body.

Tips & Warnings
  • Medicating your skin with lemons will greatly help, because the acid in them will help to kill harmful bacteria.
  • Do not pick or pop the pimples; This will irritate the acne more and make it worse.
