Take a bandage and prop it like a tent. Place the “tented” bandage on the blisters. By doing this you will have them covered and allow blisters to “breath” or air out. Blisters and cuts heal better when they are exposed to the air. You don’t want blisters exposed to the air all the time though because you don’t want to risk infection.

2
Use a double duty bandage. You can buy these types of bandages at your local drug store that have an antiseptic in them. This not only cushions the blisters but also cleans them.

Apply a cool, wet washcloth to the blisters. You can also soak the blisters in a bathtub. This will help ease the itching. You want to do everything you can to ease the itching because scratching the blisters will only hurt more.

Hold an oatmeal soaked washcloth on the blisters for at least 15 minutes. You can also take an oatmeal bath and soak the blisters in it. You can buy an oatmeal powder or make your own oatmeal solution. To make your own oatmeal solution wrap one cup of oatmeal in a cloth and boil until it is soft. You can use the oatmeal soaked cloth as a sponge while bathing. If you use the oatmeal soaked cloth as a sponge you do not want to use soap with it.

5
Make a paste of baking soda by mixing it with water. Add more or less for your desired paste. Apply the baking soda paste to the blisters and let it sit. Your best bet would be to leave the baking soda paste on the blisters overnight.

6
Drain the blisters. Some doctors will say not to drain because of risk of infection but some doctors also say that if there is a lot of pressure on the blisters and depending on location, it is a good idea to drain. If blisters are on a finger, toe or under a nail then go ahead and drain. Make sure you to wipe the blisters and a sewing needle with alcohol before using it to pop the blisters. Prick the blisters a couple of times near the edge and then slowly and gently press out the fluid.
