How to Apply 1970s Eye Makeup

Eye makeup in the seventies was all about the shimmer. Women had fun with new shimmer pastel color eye makeup. Black mascara, black eyeliner and shimmer eye shadow made a dramatic look that made the seventies unique. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Black mascara
  • Black eyeliner
  • Shimmer pastel eyeshadow
  • White shimmer highlighter eye shadow
  • Eyeshadow brush
  • Q-tip

Instructions

    • 1

      Brush pastel shimmer eyeshadow on the whole eyelid with an eyeshadow brush. Line underneath the eye with pastel shimmer eyeshadow using a small eyeshadow brush.

      Brush a thin line of white shimmer highlighter eyeshadow right below the eyebrows using an eyeshadow brush.

      Apply black eyeliner on the top eyelid starting at the outside corner of the eye working towards the inside corner of the eye. Start the line a little high on the outside corner of the eye to give a cat eye appearance. Line underneath the eye with black eyeliner.

      Smudge eyeliner lightly with a Q-tip.

      Apply black mascara on upper and lower eyelashes.
