How to make the Perfect Venison steak the Pasquale's way

This is the best way to eat Venison, It will be so tender you will thank me for it. ;)

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 medium sized Venison round steaks
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Flour
  • Cooking Oil {I use EVOO}
  • 1/2 Green pepper ~ Sliced thinly
  • 1 medium onion ~ Also sliced thinly
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms 8oz
  • 1 can of any Beef and/or mushroom gravy
  • 1/2 cup of red wine {use a wine that you would drink}
  • 1cup of red wine {Tell you later what to do with this cup of wine}
  1. Step 1

    Salt and pepper the steaks. Cut into serving pieces.

  2. Step 2

    Flour lightly and brown in oil. {I think EVOO gives it a better teast} Drain off excess oil.

  3. Step 3

    Layer meat, green peppers,onions and mushrooms in a baking dish. Cover with gravy and wine. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 1/2 ~ 2 hours, untill the meat is tender.

  4. Step 4

    The other cup of wine that you have is what you drink as you are cooking.

Tips & Warnings
  • Mash tatters and/or green beans go great with this dish
  • alwas cook with a wine that you would drink
