Things You'll Need:
- Wax
- Wax strips
- Tweezers
-
Step 1
Acquire the hair-removal products you feel most comfortable with. Traditional wax with cloth strips, wax with paper strips, cream removers, tweezers, etc.
-
Step 2
Look in the mirror and find the natural curve of your brow bone. This is your guideline. You want the finished eyebrow to look natural and not too thin. You are just looking to reduce the thickness, so follow the natural shape of your brow.
-
Step 3
Using an unsharpened pencil, hold the pencil vertical and place it against the side of your nose. Keep the pencil straight. Where the pencil lands is where your brow should begin. Any hair that falls toward the center of the brow on the nose side of the pencil should be removed. This is a good guideline to use so that your eyebrows are not too far apart.
-
Step 4
Heat the wax according to directions. These vary from microwave or stovetop heating instructions. Spread a small amount of wax underneath the brow, never above. Apply cloth strip and rub in the direction of the hair, then pull swiftly in the opposite direction of the hair growth.
-
Step 5
Work in small sections, removing a little at a time to ensure a clean and natural-looking brow. If there are any hairs that you missed and the skin is too sensitive, wait until the next day and remove the strays with tweezers.
