Come one come all, pirates, parrotheads, and beach bums alike. This is the perfect drink to get you out of that summer rut. The Rum Runner is tropical and colorful for the gals, and is topped off with a strong rum for the guys. If you want to dine out and have someone else make it for you, then Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville makes one of the best Rum Runners around.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1oz. dark rum
  • 1oz. light rum
  • 1/2oz. blackberry brandy
  • 1/4oz. banana liquer
  • 1 splash grenadine
  • 1 splash sweetend lime juice
  • 1 1/2 cups of ice
  • Blender
  • Garnish
  1. Step 1

Fill blender with the ice and all the liquors.

  2. Step 2

Blend the mixture until the consistancy has thickened.

  3. Step 3

Pour into a glass, and top off with a strong, dark liquor. Most people go for 151 proof.

  4. Step 4

    Garnish and serve.

Tips & Warnings
  • It doesn't matter what kind of cup you use for this. Anything from a hurricane glass to a plastic party cup will work.
  • Get creative with the garnish. I've seen it topped off with cherries, oranges, and in Florida always a lime.
  • This drink can also be poured on the rocks instead of blended. Just remember to salt the rim.
