How to Use the iTrip FM Transmitter
An FM transmitter is a great device which allows users to listen to their favorite audio player in their own car. This is especially useful if you don't have a CD player in your car or if it is no longer functioning properly. The iTrip FM Transmitter is a relatively inexpensive and easy to use option you may want to consider if you're looking into buying one of these devices. Here is how to use the iTrip FM Transmitter.

1
Begin by familiarizing yourself with the radio stations in your area. More importantly, you will need to know where there are no radio stations on your dial. The very low and high numbers on your dial are the ones more likely to be nothing more than static.
-
2
Plug the iTrip FM Transmitter into the cigarette lighter socket of your car.
-
3
Plug your CD or mp3 player into the iTrip FM Transmitter.
-
4
Set your radio to a number where you hear nothing but static or (preferably) silence. Understand that 88.1 to 88.7 FM will usually be nothing but static in your area.
-
5
Set your iTrip FM Transmitter to the same station as your car radio once you've found a station with nothing but static or silence.
-
6
Turn your CD or mp3 player on and begin playing music. You should hear the song or audio file begin playing through your car's speakers. Throughout your trip, you may hear some static through your speakers as you enter different areas. To fix this, simply change the radio station on both the iTrip FM Transmitter and your car stereo until you no longer hear static. Remember that the radio stations must be the same on the iTrip FM Transmitter and the car stereo.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure to charge your CD or mp3 player before using it. An audio player with a depleted battery may cause you to hear more static than normal or for the files to play less audibly.
