How to Make Elderberry Gelatin

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 cups elderberry juice, fresh or canned
  • 2 cups water, boiled
  • 1 envelop unflavored gelatin
  • sweetener of choice
  1. Step 1

    Pour gelatin in an 8x8 glass pan.

  2. Step 2

    Add boiled water and let sit for one minute to soften.

  3. Step 3

    Stir with a fork until gelatin is dissolved.

  4. Step 4

    Add elderberry juice.Stir to combine.

  5. Step 5

    Add sweetener of choice and blend well.

  6. Step 6

    Refrigerate until set. About four or five hours.

Tips & Warnings
  • I like to use 1/2 cup Agave syrup to sweeten the gelatin.
  • Reduce water to 1 1/2 cups to make finger gelatin.
  • Cut with cookie cutters to serve for the holidays.
  • I boil my water in the microwave in the measuring cup. My microwave takes about 1 1/2 minutes.
  • Elderberry juice may stain. Wipe up immediately with warm water and a rag. Don't use vinegar based cleaners.
