Step 1
Getting Cleared by the NCAA:
- A student must and should clear themselves with the NCAA Clearing House before the beginning of their Senior years.
- They should take the S.A.T. and A.C.T. Placement test at least twice before the beginning of the senior year. -
Step 2
Getting Cleared by the NCAA:
- To get cleared you will have to send your high school transcripts to the Clearing House and allow them to place you into the system. You can do this in three ways.
* Get your High School coach or advisor to mail the forums and transcripts to the clearing house and wait for them to respond to your eligibility.
* When you take the S.A.T. and A.C.T. test make sure you place NCAA Clearing house as one of the place to send your score reports. This will allow them to place you in the system and every University in America will bid on your scores.
- Then you will have to take college required classes and maintain a grade level above 2.65. -
Step 3
TheFanNJ's NewsletterCollege Recruiting:
- A Parent would want to visit the local Universities and talk to the staff about the recruiting process.
- Mail the school that your child is interested in so that they will keep intouch with you. You can find college addresses in the College Bound Guide that the Princeton Review publishes every year.
* When you direct email a coach or a school that school will place you in their mailing system. This will then bring admission recruiters to your home, and then allow the athletic recruiters to follow you. -
Step 4
College Recruiting 2:
When you have placed above the standards from the NCAA eligibility status many college will start to contact you because of how you are place on the eligibility boards. Then you would want to contact a local recruiter like scouts, elite rival, and Coaches! 101 on how to get more exposure.
