Follow these easy procedures to reduce the chance of constant breakouts, which also serve as a natural way of acne treatment.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Acne treatments can be time consuming, but in the end, they tend to be worthwhile if applied properly. Wash your hair regularly, as any germs can be spread from your head to your pillow as you sleep. Since people often spend the night tossing and turning, this can cause mild or severe breakouts in a matter of days.

  2. Step 2

Even if you wash your hair on a regular basis, change your pillow or pillow covers as often as possible. Regardless of your hygiene, bacteria will always find its way to most surfaces. The most important thing to avoid is rubbing your face on anything infected; the result you get the following morning might not be a pretty one.

  3. Step 3

When drying your face, try to use your own towel. If you have sensitive skin, sharing towels with others increases the risk of developing pimples.

  4. Step 4

Make a good habit of washing your face, but do not over do it. Try to gently wash and rinse it twice a day, and use cotton or other soft materials to wipe the oil off your face throughout the day. The main point is to avoid excessively dry skin, which can result in unnecessary irritation.

  5. Step 5

Many of us do not realize that some acne treatments contain ingredients that make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. In these cases, protect your skin with sunscreen or keep your skin from reaching too much contact with ultraviolet light.

  6. Step 6

Your hands are often dirtier than you think, so avoid touching your face too much, especially if you have not washed them in a while. We often touch our face more than we realize.

  7. Step 7

Remember not to pop those zits! You risk the chance of pushing in even more bacteria from your finger tips into the skin, further delaying the healing of a breakout. Long-lasting and permanent scars are also a possibility.
