You can beat the dreaded Monday blues. Mondays are often viewed as the worst day of the week that people dread. A full week of work ahead is look down upon by many. Dreaded Monday can actually starts on Sunday night, when people complain about Monday. The key is to make Monday and everyday more fun. Follow these tips to make Monday a great day!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Positive attitude
  • A smile
  • Laughter
  1. Step 1

Examine your work life. Does your work make you happy? Is there anyway to start enjoying you job more? Perhaps now is a good time to start a brand new job. Slowly transition to the new job, work part time at first and once you see that your new job can make you money then make it full time.

  2. Step 2

Try to wake up early on Mondays to beat the blues. Waking up early can jump start your day so you are not frantic and late. Being late can make any day a bad day. Enjoy a nice breakfast with your extra time on Mondays. Eat some delicious pancakes and fruit. Enjoying a special breakfast not only gives you energy for the day, but it makes Monday different.

  3. Step 3

Exercise in the morning if you can wake up extra early. Try doing a different sport, dance, or activity on Monday. Start kick boxing and beat those bad Mondays goodbye. Learning something new makes life more fun and Monday more fun.

  4. Step 4

Take a different route to work, because again variety is the spice of life. Listen to new music and try to avoid the news on Mondays. Listening to the news can make your Mondays more blue, because of all the negative events. Talk to positive people on Mondays. Try not to contribute to other people's negative conversations about Mondays.

  5. Step 5

Make a to-do list on Friday so you are ready to tackle your work on Monday. Try to do as much work on Friday so you are ahead or at least not behind on Monday. Start working immediately, procrastinating does not make a Monday any better. Thinking about all the work you have to do makes work worst than it is. Do one task at a time and make little goals. Work for 10 minutes straight and at the end of the 10 minutes you may not feel the need to stop working.

  6. Step 6

After work join friends for a Monday happy hour or start a new hobby. Doing something different on Monday than the rest of your week, makes Monday a happy Monday.

  7. Step 7

Stay positive on Mondays. Remember you do not have to dread Monday. Be happy that your life is not worst than it could be. You are too blessed to be stressed. Choose to be happy the whole Monday. Happiness is a choice and you can have a happy Monday!

Tips & Warnings
  • Smile and laugh more. Force yourself to smile more until it is natural, you will find yourself happier on Mondays.
  • Compliment someone and let their happiness rub off on you.
  • Do not hang around negative people that will make your Mondays worst than they really are. Negative people make you more negative.
