This article will give you the steps to throw a great holiday party that your friends will be asking about year after year.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • wrapped Christmas ornament
  • food and beverage
  • guests
  1. Step 1

First: make a guest list of 6-12 people and send out invitations

  2. Step 2

Second: Plan the food and beverage list. You can do some simple appetizers and a nice holiday cocktail.

  3. Step 3

Third: Dig out your Christmas music for the day of the party. You can have this as background music before and during the party.

  4. Step 4

The rules: Everyone is asked to bring a wrapped ornament around a $10 value. Put all the packages in the middle of the room. Write up slips numbered with the amount of guests attending, fold and put in a hat or bowl to draw. Guests will draw numbers. The person with #1 will go first. They select a gift from the middle, open it and show everyone what they get. The person with #2 may either take the gift from #1 that is opened or select a wrapped gift from the middle. If #2 selects the gift from #1, then #1 will select a new gift from the middle to open. The person who has #3 can select an opened gift from #1 or #2 or an unopened one from the middle. This will continue until everyone has had a chance to select a gift.

  5. Step 5

Lastly- offer some food and drink and enjoy the evening.
