How to Get Wireless Internet on PS3

Sony's PlayStation 3 console comes with built-in Wireless networking support. You can connect to a network through your PlayStation 3 to access the PlayStation store, multiplayer features, Netflix and more. The console uses the Wireless G standard and can be configured to make use of encryption keys when establishing a connection.

Things You'll Need

• Internet
• modem
• wireless router
• ps3

Instructions

1. Press the "PS" button on the center of your controller, and then navigate to the "Settings" menu at the far left of the screen.

2. Select "Network Settings" with the direction pad, and then press the "X" button.

3. Select "Internet Connection Settings," then "Easy."

4. Select "Wireless" when prompted for the network type, and then select "Scan."

5. Select your network from the list of wireless access points within range.

6. Select the type of encryption your network uses from the list of wireless encryption options.

7. Type your encryption key using the on-screen keyboard when prompted, and then click "X" to save your settings.
