How to Get Wireless Internet on PS3


Sony's PlayStation 3 console comes with built-in Wireless networking support. You can connect to a network through your PlayStation 3 to access the PlayStation store, multiplayer features, Netflix and more. The console uses the Wireless G standard and can be configured to make use of encryption keys when establishing a connection.

  • Press the "PS" button on the center of your controller, and then navigate to the "Settings" menu at the far left of the screen.

  • Select "Network Settings" with the direction pad, and then press the "X" button.

  • Select "Internet Connection Settings," then "Easy."

  • Select "Wireless" when prompted for the network type, and then select "Scan."

  • Select your network from the list of wireless access points within range.

  • Select the type of encryption your network uses from the list of wireless encryption options.

  • Type your encryption key using the on-screen keyboard when prompted, and then click "X" to save your settings.
