Here's an easy way to save money on a shower curtain by using a tablecloth.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tablecloth
  • Shower curtain hooks or rings
  • eyelets (optional)
  • scissors or large hole puncher
  1. Step 1

Select a vinyl tablecloth that will fit your shower/bathtub. They come round, square, oval ,and oblong/rectangle. Make sure to check the size. You will also need shower curtain rings or hooks. They usually come in a pack of 10. Scissors or a large hole puncher to make holes for the hooks are also needed and large eyelets if you want to reinforce the holes.

  2. Step 2

First you will need to add holes for the rings to go through. To figure out how far apart to space the holes, take the length of the tablecloth in inches and divide it by the number of rings. Example: You have a 60" tablecloth and 10 rings. Divide 60 by 10 and you get 6, so you need to space the holes 6" apart. Use the hole punch or scissors to make the holes. If you want to reinforce the holes, put the eyelets in first and then cut out the material inside the eyelet.

  3. Step 3

Next put the rings through the holes, hang on the shower curtain rod and your done. Very simple and since tablecloths are so much cheaper than shower curtains (especially at the end of summer) you can buy an assortment of designs.
