This is a painless and easy way to help the environment.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • recycling bins
  • organizational skills
  1. Step 1

Get recycling bins from your trash company.

  2. Step 2

Decide how you will organize the collection of paper, plastic, and glass during the week. I keep old crates and just throw the waste in them until I get ready to sort them for pick up.

  3. Step 3

For newspapers, I take them to the local elementary school and deposit them in the paper collecting bin that is on the parking lot. It is accesible 24 hours/7 days a week. There is no excuse not to recycle your old newspapers and magazines.

  4. Step 4

Never use styrofoam cups. If you are a coffee drinker, use your own ceramic cup or keep paper cups handy. Don't forget to recycle the paper cups.

  5. Step 5

Whenever possible, purchase products that have been recycled: greeting cards are a good example.
